Welcome to Natal!

Yes, that is it!
I am living in Natal.
You can call me "crazy", "adventurer", "gipsy", whatever you want.
Since I arrived back to Brazil, a lot of things happened in my life and my personal history changed again.
Natal is one of the most beautiful places in Brazil to live and knows, maybe in the World!
Warm weather, sun, beachs, delicious food and a very good and modern city!



I am here just one month, and I was very welcome by the local residents! In 4 day I got two jobs. They trusted in my CV and my work. I can't deny that I am happy with it!
As you know, I am biology teacher, and now I am in two of the best schools of Natal.
The first one is called "Contemporâneo" ("Contemporary") http://www.contemporaneo.com.br
The second one is "CEI - Centro de Educação Integrado" ( Centre for Integrated Education) http://www.ceinet.com.br/
Everything is happening very fast, one month before I was looking for something completely new, diferent and strong and the "big news" appears by one of my best friends, called Vinicius Mello. Definitly one of the big name of this year for me (as another friends were for me last year). But it is another history...

I am still don't have internet ( I am in a lan house) and I will rebuild my life over again, from zero, literaly.
Was a surprise for everybody (including me!), but our lifes are made by surprises too!!!

From now, my blog has three commitments:
- I have to talk more about Israel. There a lot o things to tell about it yet! Missing many issues to talk.
- I need show my new city and all about his culture! Natal!
- The third commitment is return to talk about biology!! YES!

I have a lot of students hoping for that!

There is a sentence that I always remember, that I heard from a friend of mine called Elvio: "The important thing is have story to tell!"

Estou morando em Natal.
Você pode me chamar de "louco", "aventureiro", "cigano", o que você quiser.
Desde que cheguei de volta ao Brasil, muitas coisas aconteceram na minha vida e minha história mudou novamente.
Natal é um dos lugares mais bonitos do Brasil para viver e conhecer, talvez no mundo!
O tempo quente, o sol, as praias, a comida deliciosa e uma cidade muito boa e moderna!
Estou aqui faz apenas um mês, e eu fui muito bem-vindo pelos moradores daqui!
Em quatro dias consegui dois empregos. Eles confiaram em meu currículo e no meu trabalho. Eu não posso negar que estou feliz com isso!
Como sabem, sou professor de biologia, e agora estou em duas das melhores escolas de Natal.

Tudo está acontecendo muito rápido, há um mês atrás eu estava procurando algo completamente novo, diferente e forte e a grande novidade me foi apresentada por um dos meus melhores amigos, chamado Vinicius Mello. Definitivamente um dos grandes nomes deste ano para mim (como outro amigos foram no ano passado). Mas isso é outra história ...


Eu ainda estou não tem internet (eu estou em uma lan house) e preciso reconstruir a minha vida de novo, do zero, literalmente.
Foi uma surpresa para todo mundo (inclusive para mim!), mas nossas vidas são feitas por surpresas também!
A partir de agora, meu blog tem três compromissos:
- Tenho que falar mais sobre Israel. Há uma série de coisas a dizer sobre isso ainda! Tenho muito a falar.
- Eu preciso mostrar minha nova cidade e tudo sobre sua cultura! Natal!
- O terceiro compromisso é voltar a falar sobre biologia! SIM!

Tenho um monte de alunos esperando por isso!
 Voce é muito bem-vindo para me acompanhar nessa nova jornada!
Há uma frase que sempre me lembro, que eu ouvi de um amigo meu chamado Elvio: "O importante é ter história para contar!"

Before I went to Israel, when I said to my parents and family about my decision to go there, everybody had the same reaction: "Are you crazy???", "Do you wanna die??", "Is very dangerous there!!", "Take care the bomb-man!!", etc...
Unfortunately, that is the image about Israel. I think that the most part of brazilians think the same about this amazing country. The news that we saw all the time on TV about suicide attacks builds that image.

Actually, I didn't felt fear. I found a lovely people!!
The "violence" in Israel is not like here in Brazil. Is totally different!
Here in Brazil, like all of us know, the violence is the result of social unbalance.
While in Israel, the violence is the result of a complex historic context with Palestine and Arabic people.
Conflict about territory and cultural and religious subjects are the principal aspects.

The secure sensation is total and the most curious thing of all is the army.
Military service is compulsory.

Since earlier, the youth want to be in the army! I knew some of american jews them who came from US only to serve the israeli force by option!
The feeling of "belong" to Jewish people is very strong! They are proud about it!

Each youth who serve the army recieves one gun. During the weekend they can returns to your homes to see your families. The soldiers can be guys or girls and they crowd  the central bus stations carrying with them guns! 
Soon you get used to that reality.

Antes de ir para Israel, quando disse aos meus pais e familiares sobre a minha decisão de ir até lá, todos tiveram a mesma reação:  "Você está louco ???", "Você quer morrer??", "É muito perigoso lá !", "Cuide do homem-bomba!", etc ..
Infelizmente, essa é a imagem de Israel. Acho que a maior parte dos brasileiros pensam o mesmo sobre este incrível país. As notícias de que vemos o tempo todo na TV sobre os atentados suicidas constroem essa imagem. 


Na verdade, eu não senti medo. Encontrei um povo lindo!
A "violência" em Israel não é como aqui no Brasil. É totalmente diferente!
Aqui no Brasil, como todos nós sabemos, a violência é o resultado do desequilíbrio social, enquanto em Israel, a violência é o resultado de um complexo contexto histórico com o povo palestino e árabe.
Conflitos sobre o território e os assuntos culturais e religiosos são os principais aspectos.
A sensação de segurança é total e o mais curioso de tudo é o exército.
O serviço militar é obrigatório.
Desde cedo, os jovens querem estar no exército! Eu conheci alguns judeus norte-americanos que vieram dos EUA apenas para servir o exército israelense, por opção!
O sentimento de "pertencer" ao povo judeu é muito forte! Eles têm orgulho nisso!
Cada um dos jovens que servem ao exército recebe uma arma. Durante o fim de semana eles podem retornar para suas casas para ver seus familiares. Os soldados podem ser guris ou gurias e eles lotam as estações de ônibus levando consigo armas!
Em pouco tempo você se acostuma com essa realidade.
