Safe Harbor.

English:
Dear friends.
Today, after one more day working on a boat, I had time to go to the beach.
I saw the magnificent sunset on the edge of the Sea of Galilee, while I thought in everybody that I love.
There is no place in the world that substitue the presence those who I love. Was instinctive, but when I realized what was happening, I took the care to think with all love as possible. I recalled only the most beautiful moments, sometimes with a silly smile in my face,... sometimes with tears in my eyes...
I know that, almost everything changed in my life, things that I still didn't realized and things that I didn't want changes.
I didn't had to change my behavior, my conceptions and my values, to win (or lose) my daily battles.
The winds of change. I don't know what will happen with me, my future is still incertain.
Think about you, give me tranquility to keep my way.
I know I'll have my safe haven when you return to Brazil.

Thank you all.

Português:
Queridos amigos.

Rogério, "The fisherman".

English:
From the desert to the sea.
From the jojoba to fish.
Yes, my life has changed.
Now I am in Ein Gev, one of the most beautiful places that I saw in my life. This kibbutz is on the edge of the Sea of Galilee. Actually, the Sea of Galilee is not a sea, but a lake.
Here, like Be'er Sheva, it doesn't rain, it is rare. Almost every day the sun shines. Birds everywhere. Cats in every place. Funny people and... fish!
Never in my life I could hope for something so special.
How could I dream, before I leaving Brazil, that I would become a fisherman in the Sea of Galilee??? That I would live in Israel? Actually, never!
Well, I had to pass over the other subjects to talk about for a moment. Sorry for breaking the cronology of the facts!
In the same place where Jesus had walked above the water, where He multiplied the fish and bread and fed about 5.000 people, where He recruited Pedro, André, João and Tiago as his apostles, here I am, fishing.

Hard work compensated by a wonderful view and by nice guys who work with me.
Simple accommodation, in a simple way of living,  where my havaianas are the symbol of calm, who, which I wearing all the time.

My partners are from South Africa, Germany, South Corea, United States, Denmark... Everybody are fluent english, and I hope learn with them!
Will be 2 months here with that "routine".
;-)
Thank you all.

Português:
Do deserto ao mar.
Da jojoba para os peixes.
Sim, minha vida mudou.
;-)

Abraços a todos!

Hatzerim!

English:
Well... this post will be very short!
I have been here in the Kibbutz Hatzerim for 1 week! As I said before, this kibbutz is beside Be'er Sheva, surrounded by a desert and sand. Really beautiful!
Personally I've never seen this kind of place before, and the kibutz is like an oasis!!! Fascinating!!!!! Trees, birds, shadows, and I have lived in a nice single room.
Ok... In the kibbutz I was working in a culture of Jojoba. I was a real farmer. Hard work. Waking up at 5 o'clock, and this kind of things.
But.... After the hard work... despite the effort of my friend Geruza and her husband Leon, I was completely alone here, and I didn't practice any English.
Sad.
After few chats, the conclusion: change the kibbutz.
Tomorrow morning I am going to Jerusalem and I will be there for 2 days. I will relax, pray, get thrilled me and realize one of my biggest dream, see and go into the walls of Jerusalem. Diving and breathing the religious atmosphere.
I will think about my life, my family and all my friends.

Thanks for your help Leon and Geruza! God bless you!
Jerusalem, here I go!!

See you in another Kibutz!
I contact you!! Hehehehe!!
Thank you all!

Português:
Bem ... este post será muito curto!
Estou aqui no Kibutz Hatzerim fazem 1 semana!
Triste.

Mergulhar e respirar a religiosidade.
Vou pensar na minha vida, minha família e meus amigos.
Obrigado pela ajuda Leon e Geruza! Deus te abençoe!

Jerusalém, aqui vou eu!
Vejo vocês em outro Kibutz! Eu entro em contato com vocês! Hehehehe!
Obrigado a todos!!

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

English:
Yes! I did!
It was a long long time ago... 2005.
I remember it like today.
I was working in a course called "Elite - Pré-Vestibular." when this opportunity arose.
I had to go to Curitiba to do the video. In total it was 15 lessons.
I was young (29 years old), slim, had a big brown hair and I had braces in my teeth.

I have just seen that those videos are on Youtube now! How did I discover that???
Three students sent me message at different times.
The first one from Andressa Cabral by e-mail. The second one by Nathalia, through a comment on my blog (Link here), and the last one was today, by Hyago Sallet, telling me straight about my videos on Youtube by e-mail ass well!
Where there is smoke, there is a fire! I Looked for the videos on Youtube... and...

Video made by: IESDE - Curitiba (2005)

There are still students who  thank their teachers.
I know that I am not the best teacher of the world, and, probably, some of you thought that lesson of biology are boring (or I am boring), anyway, taking some time to thank somebody is reare nowadays.

Thanks for these threes students for the caring.

Português:
Furo de notícias!
Sim! Eu fiz!

Três estudantes me enviaram messagens em momentos diferentes.

Israel: a new story begins!

English:
Here I am! Israel!
Well... I am fine. My goodbye from Dublin was hard. Very hard.

But now, a new story begins!
Absolutely different place: culture, weather,  people, language, letter, money, ...everything.
Suddenly, my world changed. I am become an illiterate.

All of my life I studied, read, and I was independent. I loved the time I read the labels of medicine as I sat in the bathroom to do number 2... This time is over.
Here in Israel the first language is Hebrew, and despite almost everybody can speak in English, they talk one with other in local language. Everything is in Hebrew: journal, TV, signs, etc...
Ok... at least they talk in English... so... I will speak English!
When I arrived in the airport, my friend Geruza was waiting for me. I received mine 3 moths of visa, and I had to change my money.

Good news: € 50,00 are 227,00 Shekels.
Bad news: a Coke here is 8,00 Shekels, it means, life here is expensive.

My first day in Israel was in Tel Aviv, seaside town. Despite be winter, the temperature is hot. There is no rain here. The sky was completely clear and blue.

I could see how modern Israel is. High buildings mixed with old houses and temples. Traditionalism and vanguard together. Very beautiful place!

Now I am in a Kibbutz called Hatzerim, beside Beer Sheva. An oasis in the desert, literally, but about this, I will write in the next posts!

Thank you all!
See you!

Português:
Aqui estou eu! Israel!
Bom... Eu estou bem. Minha despedida de Dublin foi difícil. Muito difícil.
Mas agora, uma nova história começa!
Lugar absolutamente diferente: cultura, clima, povo, língua, letra, dinheiro, ... tudo.

De repente, meu mundo mudou. Eu me tornei um analfabeto.
Toda minha vida eu estudei, li, e fui independente.

Final chapter. Apartment 39.

English:
Nothing is gonna be like before.
Definitly, the last chapter of this apartment is right now.
One beatiful history that, Fellipi Pamplona, Diogo Bahr (in their blogs) and I told for you.
In the begining, when I arrived here, already existed the first chapters, told by my friends. They are in Brazil now. Belongs to me the responsability to tell the last part.
After very hard goodbyes, the cicle ended.
After many conversations and people here applying to live in the apartment (we put the ad in DAFT.IE), we realized that it was necessary to give a "changed" in the air. The apartment was male territory during the year 2010, will now open its doors to women.
Three "lucky" girls will be responsible for in lieu of wonderful people who have lived within these walls.
A new life will come with new characters... Carol, Chris and Luana arrived here to live yours dreams together. They are goin to, joint with Cimei, Eduardo and Jairo.
My farewell here... I'm going to Israel to tell another story... and this beautiful story, apartment 39 continues...
But this is another story...

Goodbye Dublin .... goodbye friends ...

Português:
Apartamento 39.

Goodbye Dublin.... goodbye friends...

Brazilian Night in Dublin!

English:
Yes...
I remembered that when I arrive here in Dublin, that everybody said to me about Wool Shed called for brazilians by "Austraiano", as the best brazilian night in Dublin. Terrible! I went there few times. Always bad!
If you wnat to see football or rugby... or some other sport, ok! Go ahead! There's no problem in do this in "Australiano". I saw there two gre-NAL, and I never went out from there defeated: one win and one draw.

At moment, one of the best brazilian night in Dublin is Diceys Club.

There, you can pratice your portuguese or find an european who looking for a brasilian girl, and the best part: all the pints are only €2,00 on tuesday!! (Sorry about my irony!)

No... at realy, you will find all kind of person, as in your day by day in Dublin.
I had a great pleasure in find there, wonderful persons, and made beautiful parties with friends as well! Depends on you!
Like I said... you can do what you want... and do what you think... and look for your objectives.

Yesterday night, was my last night there. Good chats, Guinness, chips and burger. (All for 2,00)
Bye Diceys!

Thank you all

Português:
Sim...

(Desculpem a minha ironia!)

Boas conversas, Guinness, batatas fritas e hambúrguer. (Tudo por € 2,00)
Tchau Diceys!

Obrigado a todos

Tricks or Treats!

English:
It was Halloween!!
Bigger and funniest than St. Patrick's Day, this day was celebrated for all Irish!
It is impossible you not fall in mood!!
I was skeptic about this party, after all, we don't have this kinf of culture in Brazil, but, in the last minutes... I ran to buy some costume for me!

I had a simple idea and I think that worked!
The Halloween is only compared of brazilian Carnaval!
Was good see, know and experience one more cultural symbol of north side of the globe!

Halloween originated from a Celtic festival of the Irish calendar, the festival of "Samhain", celebrated between October 30 and November 2 and marked the end of summer ("samhain" literally means "end of summer").

Happy Halloween!
